The Yorkshire Leg of The Tour De France But Without The Lycra

I have written about cycling the Yorkshire leg of the Tour De France, I have told you about how we are the ideal accommodation if you are wanting to cycle le tour depart. What I didn't make explicitly clear was that all of the scenery can be enjoyed without lycra, saddles or even sweating.

Last week on Twitter I came across @drivethedales talking about their brand new website which points you in the direction of some great drives through some stunning Yorkshire countryside.   Many of the things that make Yorkshire appealing to a cyclist are exactly the same as those looking for a great ride out propelled by combustion engine.

All of the suggested routes also offer the chance to get out and stretch your legs and sample some yorkshire hospitality in charming village pubs and tea rooms.

Our self catering holiday cottages are ideally positioned for the growing lists of Yorkshire drives that currently take in the aforementioned Tour De France route, Yorkshire's own 'Three Peaks' and Wensleydale via Buttertubs pass, a road described by Jeremy Clarkson as being 'England's Truly Spectacular Road'
